Hundreds of Youth Gathered to Take Oath for Change! A concert event that featured local bands: Papa Groove, Mathieu Lippé and Élie Haroun

Hundreds of youth (18 to 30) gathered at Kola Note on June 9th 2009 for a momentous event! These youth took an oath for change –a change for a violence-free, stress-free and corruption-free society.

"I PLEDGE to take responsibility for my community
I PLEDGE to work towards a stress free and violence free society
I PLEDGE to be the change that the world needs to see.
Together we can make that change and together we will make a difference! This is just the beginning!"

Hosted by YES!+ Canada, YES!+ FEST’09 was a celebration of a global movement of youth which united youth leaders, environmentalists and emerging musicians. YES!+ FEST’09 was an extravaganza of youthful energy, optimism and commitment to individual and global transformation. This occasion brought youth together and rose awareness to the YES!+ movement that has been growing exponentially in the international community.

Inspired by the transformation in their own lives, YES!+ graduates from across the country decided to organize YES!+ FEST’09 a drug-free and alcohol-free event that promotes better values amongst youth and allows them to experience positive ways to celebrate and at the same time take collective action to make their society stress-free, violence-free and corruption-free.
